Many years ago I experienced first hand what it was like to battle and survive cancer. It was because of this personal experience  that Canteen was born. It was a very humble beginning but I am so very proud of what it has achieved and the incredible facility it has become. Helping to ease the difficulty and pain of this prevalent and destructive disease for countless Aussie & Kiwi young people who no longer feel they are alone. I am also happy that it is so widely known and supported but of course it can always use extra support to help it continue it’s brilliant work. So, if you have the inclination please jump in and be a part of this truly amazing organisation. You will never be the same. I promise.

CanTeen supports young people when cancer turns their world upside down and helps them cope with the physical, emotional and practical impact of living with cancer.

CanTeen works with 12-24 year olds at every stage of their cancer journey, whether they’re dealing with:

• having cancer themselves
• a parent, brother or sister being diagnosed with cancer
• the death of a parent, brother or sister

They provide funding for specialist hospital care, counselling and individual assistance as well as information and peer support programs.

We get how tough it is to face cancer, because we were set up by young cancer patients in 1985 and still have young people affected by cancer guiding CanTeen at every level.
